Engineering Solutions to Climate Change

Featured Science:

Satellite Imagery

Satellite imagery data is now being used to track deforestation through optical, radar, and thermal sensors.

A highschooler's perspective on our changing climate and how we can make change.

Fuel Cell Vehicles

Perovskite Solar Panels

Perovskite solar cells can efficiently convert sunlight into electricity. Unlike solar panels using silicon, those with perovskites can be more affordable and easier to produce.

Unlike EV's, fuel cell cars use hydrogen powered fuel cell stacks are used for energy.

An event that triggered my determination to protect our world occured pre school, when I saw plastic cups and newspapers flying around on the street. Even though it seemed like a nominal event, it somehow forged a place in my heart. I wondered why people didn't see the impact of their actions and why they weren't conscious about the environment. Over the following years, I encountered more instances of our disconnection with our environment, as well as the impact of our actions on the world. We only have one world, and it is our duty to protect it. I believe that the solution to climate change lies within engineering, as through science, we can devise solutions to counteract climate change. Through this website, I hope you can learn more about the inventions that are working to save our world and understand how we can all promote a more sustainable future.
